Hello everyone, Molly Pullen has asked me to give details of St Nicholas’ Church fete which will take place on Sunday July 8th. It is to be held in the gardens of Abbey house, by kind permission of Jonathan and Maureen Cooke. This year’s attractions include The Kathy Davies dancers, Andy the magic man and live music with Joe D Rose. It will have all the usual wonderful stalls and it starts at 12pm and finishes at 4pm. So if you have time, do come and support this fundraising event. Any enquiries about the event contact Molly on (01305) 871692.

Abbotsbury is gearing up for the Olympic Torch visit on the 12th July and the Olympic torch “sails” are all ready to be set up on the 7th July. I would like to remind everyone that the torch will pass through Abbotsbury at 5.13pm. Abbotsbury tourism attractions will be open for free admission on that day at 2pm. Sue and Nigel were very excited to receive a letter from David Cameron the Prime Minister congratulating them “and their fellow volunteers on the results of their hard work”. He also said “I am sure the sails you have produced will serve as a fitting symbol of the support the people of Abbotsbury have for those bearing the Olympic Torch on its journey.”

Finally, there will be a table top sale at Strangways hall on 14th July 10.30am t0 3.30pm. To book a table call David Stevens on 01305 871629 tables are £5 each.
