Puddletown

  • A FOND farewell was said to Benny, Mel, Iona and Zac at a service in St Mary’s church following Rev’d Benny Hazlehurst’s five and a half years as vicar of the benefice.

The packed church had been decorated with balloons and flowers for the occasion, and the service was followed by a bring-and-share lunch in the village hall.

Rev’d Sarah Godfrey showed slides of events over the years, including some of the fundraising sponsored walks Benny had taken part in.

Benny was presented with a cheque and a guitar card made by the children of Puddletown First School.
