Taunton is approximately 20 miles to the north, with good road links via Junction 25 of the M5 and a direct rail service to London Paddington.

DESCRIPTION

Victoria Place is an enchanting terrace of 4 Grade II listed cottages created from the former 18th Century workhouse. Located just a short walk from the centre of the village, the property has delightful south facing gardens which extend to 165 feet in length with parking at the rear. The cottage is beautifully presented and in keeping with its period provenance whilst incorporating quality fittings and workmanship.

Entrance to the cottage is beneath a timber framed canopy with door into the Living/Dining Room spanning the full depth of the property. A stone open fireplace provides a welcoming focal point with whitewashed beams overhead and a solid oak floor. At the far end of the room a door opens to the stairs whilst to one side is the Kitchen, comprehensively fitted with granite overlay worktops above white painted units. On the first floor are two bedrooms, both featuring bespoke cabinetry and one currently utilised as a Study. On the second is a double bedroom with bespoke fitted white furniture, exposed ceiling timers and leaded light casement windows enjoying elevated views over the gardens. The neighbouring bathroom is similarly adorned in classic white with beamed ceiling and a separate shower and bath.

OUTSIDE

The gardens extend away to the south of the cottage with a current open boundary to one side marked by the pathway between nos. 2 and 3. A paved terrace with surrounding borders gives way to lawns, populated by an array of mature trees, shrubs and shaped hedgerow and housing a timber summerhouse/workshop screened by the aforementioned planting and with a further terrace/seating area. The gardens continue to the rear boundary where a central shared stepped pathway descends to a parking area with space for one vehicle.
