Lower Willand Farm is believed to date back to the mid-16th century and is Grade II listed. There have been various extensions over the years, including a two-story extension to the rear of the property, which has been built of local flint stone elevations under a tiled roof.

The house retains many period features including an inglenook fireplace, a plank and muntin elm screening in the dining room and hallway with cruck beams around the house. The accommodation includes an original front door opening to an entrance hallway. The sitting room is centred upon a deep inglenook fireplace with exposed beams, an inset wood burning stove and a spiral staircase leading up to the first floor. There are steps leading up to a secondary living area with an open fire and exposed stone chimney breast, beamed ceiling and a door to the study/5th bedroom. The dining room also has a stone-built fireplace with a beamed ceiling, dual aspect windows and a door that enters through to the kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with a range of oak fronted wall and base units, laminate work surfaces, an inset double drainer sink unit. There are double aspect windows overlooking the rear garden and a two-oven Alpha range cooker. A door leads to the rear porch with access to the outside. On the first floor there are four bedrooms, the master bedroom being of a good size with a part vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and an exposed wooden floor. There are three further bedrooms and a family bathroom suite with a jacuzzi bath, corner shower cubicle, low level WC and wash basin. The property also provides hyper fast gigaclear fibre broadband up to 1000Mbps.

At the front of the house the garden is enclosed by low stone walling, with a concrete paved area at the front and a lawn area that provides access to the double garage with attached single-story stone outbuildings, which needs improvement but could be adapted to create more accommodation if required. There is a very recently lapsed planning permission to convert the garage into two storey accommodation attached to the main house (Taunton Deane Application 10/17/0026). There is a shared drive way that leads around to the side of the house to a parking area. There is a single-story store, which could easily be converted. There remain the footings of a large (44m x 11m) outbuilding previously used for cider production and general storage. The site, Lower Willand Farm Stables was cleared in 2020 but retains its own electricity supply and offers considerable scope for a future rebuild. There are three connecting paddocks all laid to pasture, which extends to approximately 11.77 acres. There is also separate access on to the village lane.
