A FREE workshop for budding actors is being run by Dorchester Community Plays Association (DCPA) on Sunday, September 1.

The session invites beginners to kickstart their acting career through a series of activities, as well as get to know fellow dramatists and find out more about the organisation.

The next community play, Spinning the Moon, will take to the stage in spring 2020. The play, set in the early 16th century, is based on documents provided by the DCPA Research Group. The action centres around the Trenchard family, who lived at Wolfeton House on the outskirts of Dorchester.

The workshop takes place at Shire Hall in Dorchester, from 2pm - 4pm. Just turn up on the day or book by contacting Helenour Chapman on dcpaoutreach@gmail.com.

A performance of music from previous community plays will also be taking place on Tuesday, September 3 from 7.15pm at St George's Church Hall in Fordington. Everyone is welcome.
