CHEEKY elves will come alive at a puppet theatre show at Bridport Electric Palace.

The Elves and the Shoemaker will be staged on Friday, September 13 and Saturday, September 14.

It will be performed by Bridport-based family theatre company Stuff and Nonsense, an 'unswervingly energetic and humorous company'.

This adaptation features quirky characters and mischievous puppets and provides plenty of giggles for the whole family.

The retelling of this classic tale tells of Sam Lacey, who makes shoes that are out of this world. His imagination is huge but his business a disaster! Why would anyone buy banana skin slippers?! Then, one night, two tiny green visitors climb into his kitchen and start stitching…Sam Lacey is about to get the surprise of a lifetime!

This production is said to be 'a total delight' for all the family, full of wit, charm and surprising puppetry.

Stuff and Nonsense is led by Artistic Director Niki McCretton and the company works with children, families, artists & theatres across the globe to make memorable & rewarding shows.

Since 2010 the company has delivered more than 2,000 performances to over a quarter of a million people. Stuff & Nonsense are resident company at The Lyric Theatre, Bridport and this is a rare opportunity to see this nationally renowned company perform in their home town.

A Puppeteering Workshop led by Niki McCretton and Holly Miller will be held on Saturday, September 14 at 3.30pm and costs £5.50 per person. The workshop is suitable for those aged seven to 70.
