SOAK up a bewitching fusion of storytelling and music on Portland.

The Big Blind will be performed at the Royal Manor Theatre on Friday, October 11 at 7.30pm.

Acclaimed storyteller Dominic Kelly and international musicians Bridget Marsden and Leif Ottoson will bring to life an ancient, full-bloodied fairy tale in The Big Blind, touring to Dorset this October through Artsreach.

Dominic Kelly is a performance storyteller with an international reputation for dynamic, powerful and entertaining work. With previous performances at venues including The Barbican, National Theatre, and The British Museum, Dominic has also directed storytelling programmes for festivals including Litfest and Larmer Tree Festival.

Stars of the Swedish folk scene Bridget Marsden and Leif Ottoson saw their acclaimed debut album Mountain Meeting nominated for Best Album at the Swedish Folk & World Music Awards 2016, and for Folk Music Album of the Year at the Swedish Manifest Prize Gala 2016.

Together this outstanding trio weave tales from Norway, Scotland, Ireland and India with contemporary Scandinavian folk music in a brand new show, exploring the consequences for the young when older generations fail to make adult decisions…
