MULTI-AWARD winners WOW Youth Musical Theatre return to Weymouth Pavilion Theatre next week with a showcase of song and dance from stage and screen.

With 39 musical numbers, The WOW Show has something for everyone and includes hit songs from The Greatest Showman, Jersey Boys and the disco anthems from Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Act One also features a UK Eurovision section from the days when UK entries regularly made the top 10, including the winning entries from Sandie Shaw, Bucks Fizz and Brotherhood of Man.

As well as the full company numbers and solos there’s a variety of entertaining duets and trios. Some give current members a chance to perform classic numbers, such as You’re the Cream in My Coffee and Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries, which WOW last performed 20 years ago in the musical Good News.

WOW President, Janet Stockley, said: “We very much hope that many of the audience who were thrilled by of our production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang last April will want to come and see these highly talented young performers again.”

The show is directed and choreographed by Martyn Knight, who directed WOW’s award-winning production of Me and My Girl.

Musical director Sam Ryall has been rehearsing the music with the cast since May and will be leading the quintet of professional musicians that make up the band.
