THE panto season continues with a production of Robin Hood at the Royal Manor Theatre on Portland.

Four performances of the show will take place between Friday, February 7 and Sunday, February 9.

With King Richard the Lionheart away on the Crusades, his evil brother Prince John rules the land with a rod of iron. The Sheriff of Nottingham, under the orders of Prince John, commands his guards to collect inflated taxes from the local villagers, causing poverty and distress.

Then one day the fearless Robin Hood arrives to reverse the economic balance, by stealing from the rich to return to the poor, and also win the heart of the beautiful niece of the King, Maid Marian, who is currently betrothed to the Sheriff's ruthless knight, Sir Guy of Gisbourne.

Once he has teamed up with Little John, Friar Tuck, Will Scarlett and the other villagers, his band of Merry Men is complete. Can Robin defeat Sir Guy and the Sheriff's men to marry the woman of his dreams?

Performances are at 7.30pm on Friday and Saturday, and 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are £8 for adults and £6 for children, available from Vintage 7 and Cards & Celebrations in Easton, Royal Portland Arms Fortuneswell, or www.royalmanortheatre.co.uk
