The launch of a new local filmmaking collective will take place at The Lyric Theatre, Bridport, on Wednesday, January 22.

Chasing Cow is a collective of recent graduates based in Bridport, who are committed to continuing work on creative projects. They aim to produce a series of different products, from narrative short films and radio dramas to video essays.

The launch evening will include a programme of film, music and discussion. Chasing Cow will be screening Refuse, a short ensemble piece staged at Bridport's recycling centre that explores how a group of unacquainted individuals react when someone breaches the social fabric of the centre.

Shot in the February 2019, the piece involved several members of Chasing Cow and partly inspired the collective to come together.

The film will be followed by a Q&A with the artists and producers, plus sneak peeks and discussions about their upcoming projects for 2020.

Live musical entertainment will be provided by folk singers Bryony Moores O'Sullivan and Grace Crabtree.

The event begins at 8pm with doors and bar open from 7.30pm. Bring cash and pay however much you choose.
