A BROWNIE maker is rolling in success after getting a television baker’s seal of approval and scooping a prestigious award.
Rolly’s Brownies in Weymouth has been named Best Sweet Bakery in the Taste of the West Awards for its toffee flapjack.
It also picked up two Gold awards and a Silver for toffee flapjack, gluten- free salted caramel brownies and the Christmas spiced cranberry brownies respectively.
The flapjack was called a ‘wonderfully moreish’ produce, ticking all the boxes and scoring full marks. Just delicious – a worthy ‘minute on the lips, a lifetime on the hips’ treat.’ Helen, owner of Rolly’s Brownies, was presented with the award by Glenn Cosby from the Great British Bake Off who also said the gluten-free Salted Caramel Brownies were the best brownies he had ever eaten.
