What does it take to be the Moet UK Sommelier of the Year 2013?
First of all, it takes getting through a series of high-level tasks such as wine tasting, blind tasting, identifying errors on a wine list and a food and wine matching exercise, then impressing the judges in the famous Moet & Chandon perfect champagne pour.
Ultimately, it was Clement Robert, head sommelier at Medlar Restaurant, London SW10, who claimed the title.
