AS the festive season approaches, a Christmas Market is being held on Thursday (17) at a Dorset brewery.
Hall & Woodhouse at Blandford is getting into the Yuletide spirit and bringing together 15 local Dorset producers for the market.
Visitors can stock up on local produce as well as raise money for the Hall & Woodhouse 2016 charity, Together for Short Lives.
The market will be at the Hall & Woodhouse Brewery Visitor Centre and will host a variety of food and drink producers ranging from cakes and pies, cheeses and charcuterie to wine and spirits, all produced in Dorset!
There will also be the opportunity to purchase beers, including their 2016 Limited Edition ale, and merchandise from Badger Ales, which Hall & Woodhouse have been brewing in Blandford St Mary since 1777.
Producers taking part in the Badger Christmas Market will include preserves from ‘A Jar Of’, ‘Dorset Shellfish’, cheese from ‘Dorset Blue Vinny’, ‘Olives et al’, charcuterie from ‘The Real Cure’, Conker Gin, gluten free pies from ‘Hotch Potch Savouries’ and much more!
As well as the opportunity to buy and browse, there are activities such as a Beer & Chocolate Pairing from Badger’s very own Beer Sommelier, Christmas cocktails from 'Liberty Fields' and English sparkling wines from 'Langham Wine Estate'.
There’ll even be carol singing to top off the festive fun!
n The Badger Christmas Market takes place on Thursday November 17 from 6pm to 9pm. Tickets cost £5 and include a mince pie and a mulled beer or coffee. Soft drinks are also available: all proceeds from ticket sales will go to the company’s 2016 charity, Together for Short Lives. Tickets can be bought on the night. Children under 12 go free.
