Cheers to festival

BEER lovers will be able to enjoy a pint and support a good cause at the same time at a popular Dorset brewery next month.

The Hall & Woodhouse Beer Festival on Saturday, June 24 takes place at

the new brewery in Blandford St Mary in support of the company’s chosen charity, Together for Short Lives.

Visitors will be able to sample all the company’s beers and more from local micro-breweries.

There will also be live music, food and family entertainment with face painting and a ferret tank for the children and ‘beer pong’ for the adults.

Head brewer Toby Heasman, will also be running tours of the brewery and talking about the history of Hall & Woodhouse and its award-winning Badger Ales.

New to the scene are two limited edition brews including the zingy American Venture takes inspiration from across the pond as a refreshing West Coast style beer.

There will also be a limited batch of Hall & Woodhouse 2017

Founders’ Ale – the basil-infused Mysterious Mer-Chicken.

Fellow local brewers will also be showcasing their wares including Timothy Taylor, Downton Brewery, Hop Back Brewery,

Palmers and 8 Arches Brewery.

The festival runs from 11am until 10pm.
