SINGER songwriter Krista Green is set to release a new single that's perfect for the season.

Dorset-born modern folk and pop artist Krista is gearing up for the release of Summertime Love on May 27.

Krista has been compared to KT Tunstall and Jack Johnson, has three albums under her belt and 12 years of experience in the music industry.

Her debut album, Moments with the Universe, was released in May 2012; followed by Krista Green: Live later that year. Her third studio album, Stepping Stones was released in September 2014.

Krista is the first artist who has been signed to Bournemouth-based Fuzzy Music Records. A new album is currently in the works and she cannot wait to share it.

Her voice has been described as 'sunshine' and Krista went on to win Bournemouth Unplugged in 2011, despite being up against tremendous talent. Her fan base continues to grow, as does her social media following.

Besides her solo work, Krista also tours as part of Krista Green & The Bees, and shared the stage with Nizlopi at the Purbeck Valley Folk Festival under this guise.

She is no stranger to performing live and thrives on entertaining new crowds. Her aim is to bring her music to as many people as possible.

Krista said: “Song-writing is like therapy to me. Turning my thoughts and feelings into something creative and positive; and there's nothing I love more than playing live and sharing my songs with other people.

"I think music can resonate with people in a way nothing else can, so if I can write something that makes someone think 'yeah, I know exactly what she's talking about because I've felt like that too' then I'm happy.”

You can catch Krista on tour on the following dates: May 20 - Reef Encounter, Bournemouth, June 8 at The Shelley Theatre, Bournemouth, June 26 at The Stable, Poole and August 26 at The Purbeck Valley Folk Festival in Swanage.
