MAMMA Mia, the fans certainly gave their support to this talented seven-piece tribute group of players as they packed the house to sing along with the hits of the 70s from the sensational Swedish stars that comprised the ABBA group.

Non stop crowd pleasers like Fernando, Super Trouper and Voulez Vous got the audience to their feet in a production that faithfully reproduced the ABBA arrangements with its obligatory pair of gorgeous girls to sing all the hit songs which swiftly took the group to the very top of the pops.

All credit goes to this James Baker production as it pulled out all the stops to present a colourful show that included fireworks and glitter all evening long while everyone joined in the songs with gusto and excitement

Such was the enthusiasm of the fans that security staff were on duty throughout the performance as they struggled to keep the fans under control in a show that also had to be enjoyed to the accompaniment of the ceaseless chatter of members of the audience.

But as they promised to return next year, it comes as no surprise to learn that tickets are already being booked to see a show that is full of colour, fun and energy, to say nothing of song with lyrics that everyone knows. Long may they continue.
