A SERIES of arts events are taking place in Dewlish, near Dorchester, throughout June.
Dewlish Chapel Summer Arts Events includes a watercolour exhibition and a series of music concerts, poetry and readings on Saturday evenings at 7.30pm.
The Anita Law watercolour exhibition opens on May 24 and closes on June 8. It is open from 10.30am to 4.30pm and closed on Wednesdays.
Performances begin on June 7 with ‘Flute and Bassoon’, music from Baroque to contemporary, performed by Katy Ashman flute/bassoon and Miles Nipper bassoon and contra bassoon.
On June 14 is ‘Dorset Folksongs and Poetry’ presented by folk musician, songwriter and actor, Tim Laycock. On June 21 is ‘Lutes and Guitar’ a recital by musician and composer Rob Foster. On June 28 is poetry and ‘Bed among the Lentils’ by Alan Bennett presented by Jan Wyld. The cost is £8 for each event. Booking is essential on 01258 837034 or email enquiries@artist-anita-law.co.uk
