Miranda Hart has admitted playing a pregnant woman in Call The Midwife has had an "odd" effect on her.
The comedy star's posh alter-ego, Chummy, becomes a mum in the hit BBC One TV series.
Miranda, 40, told the Daily Mirror: "I've never been pregnant before in real life or in television life, but it's quite odd how you start doing those pregnancy things.
"I've started rubbing my tummy like a pregnant lady and saying 'oooh' all the time."
The funnywoman admitted: "We've just done the scene where I meet my little son. I started welling up, just quite naturally.
"It was the first time I'd thought, 'Wow, it must be amazing to have your own child'."
However, Miranda said that filming the scenes hadn't made her broody.
"Babies are a tiny bit boring. I think we all think that, but no one's saying it," she added.
