Fiddlers on the hoof
AN ENTHRALLING evening of fiddling tales and tunes from around the world is coming to the Bridport Arts Centre Story Café.
Fiddler on the Hoof will be performed on July 18, at 7.30pm by Bridport-based storyteller Martin Maudsley and fiddler Fiona Barrow.
There will be stirring stories of plucky fiddlers, including entertaining the faeries in Scotland and dealing with the devil in Russia. All are accompanied by dazzling fiddle-playing.
The pair have collaborated since 2007, weaving together the power of the spoken word with the magic of music.
They will be joined by international virtuoso accordionist Eddy Jay.
