A FORMER West Dorset dance pupil will return when Gracefool Collective land in Bridport this weekend.

Rachel Fullegar started her love for dance in Bernard Gale’s School of Dance, the Lyric School of Dance and Bridport pantomime – before embarking on four years of professional training at the internationally renowned Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

Rachel will return to the Dorset town when Gracefool Collective’s raucous and exciting dance theatre performs at Bridport Arts Centre on Saturday, January 24.

Rachel has taught dance across the country, and now wants to inspire others across West Dorset to put on their dancing shoes.

“I’m really keen to raise the profile of the artistic talent that Dorset has to offer and I am so excited to be back in the region at Bridport Arts Centre,” she said.

“The venue has such a great name for itself and we are really grateful for their support. Most importantly, we are thrilled to be joined by Portrait Youth Dance Company performing a piece we choreographed for them called Portrait of a Thief.

“I am keen to show other young dancers in the region that they can realise their ambitions.”
