HOLD on to your hats - a runaway musical success is coming to Weymouth next week.
Students at Wey Valley School are staging Rogers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! at the Pavilion theatre and rehearsals and tickets are both going extremely well.
Based on the story Green Grow the Lilacs by Lynn Riggs, Oklahoma! is a life-affirming yee-hah tale of life, love and death in America's mid-West.
Packed with toe-tapping, sing-along songs including Oh What a Beautiful Morning, Surrey with the Fringe on Top and I'm Just a Girl who Can't say No, it is a wonderful slice of entertainment, the perfect way to warm up a dreary February evening.
Wey valley's English and drama departments have an excellent reputation of staging superb musicals each year - and this Rogers and Hammerstein favourite proves to be no exception.
You can see Oklahoma! at Weymouth Pavilion from Thursday to Saturday, February 15 to 17 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 plus concessions - call the box office on 01305 783225 for bookings and full details.
