In a packed programme this weekend, there is plenty of entertainment on hand to keep everyone happy.

A new play by children's writer David Almond, specially created for the 'tweenie' ages of eight to 12, visits Lighthouse in Poole.

The drama is called Heaven Eyes and is presented by popular touring company Pop-Up Theatre.

It tells the story of Erin and January, who often run away from their children's home. This time they're determined to never return and head down-river on a raft made of old doors.

They wash up on the Black Middens mud and stumble across Grampa and Heaven Eyes - a mysterious girl with webbed fingers who has a strange view of life.

This gorgeous and haunting story is at the theatre today at 1.30pm and tomorrow at 11am and 2.30pm. Call 08700 668701 for bookings and full details.

Foodies are in for a treat when the Gustomarket visits Bridport tomorrow for its second monthly visit.

A gourmand's paradise, the Gustomarket blends top-quality local produce with tempting fare from more far-flung corners of the globe.

Come and see for yourself, in Barrack Road, Bridport from 8.30am until 3.30pm tomorrow.
