RUSSIAN Dorset is the second exhibition of art uniting female Russian artists living in the county.
The trio of artists taking part are glass fusion expert Svetlana, silk painter Oksana and Iryna, who specialises in oil painting.
Their work is full of style, energy and vibrancy and hundreds of visitors packed their first exhibition, which was held in September 2006.
This was helped by the strong impression made on the opening day, when the artists offered up traditional Russian hospitality of vodka, pickles and live music.
Artist Iryna Yermolova said: "On view to visitors at the exhibition will be Svetlana's works. Her kind of art is a skilful mix of metal and glass that is very rare and insufficiently known for England. She creates beautiful trays for sushi, flat vases and glass flowers that everyone will fall in love with."
She added: "Oksana's weightless silk scarves add a touch of aristocratic glamour to any outfit while Iryna's oil paintings are mysterious beauties, descended from Russian icons, with her landscapes filled by the freshness of early morning and flowers."
The second Russian Dorset exhibition will be held in Strangways Hall, Abbotsbury, between Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, August 5.
