A ONE-woman play will be coming to Dorchester on Sunday.
Lucy Stevens will be bringing her performance, Whattalife!, to the Corn Exchange.
Kathleen Ferrier was one of Britain’s phenomenal women of the 20th century.
Whattalife! tells her story from her debut as a singer in 1940, her meteoric rise and her tragic death in 1953.
The text is taken straight from Kathleen’s letters and diaries.
Sung music from her repertoire is woven through the text.
Whattalife! is the first staged as a dramatisation of Ferrier’s life, evoking the spirit of the war and post war years.
Tickets are available by calling Dorchester Arts box office, in person at the Corn Exchange (weekdays 10am to 4pm) or via dorchesterarts.org.uk
