A THEATRE company is celebrating its 10th anniversary with their version of a timeless fairy tale.

Angel Heart will perform Snow White on a half term tour of rural Dorset from February 14 to 16 including performances in Winfrith and Piddletrenthide.

This acclaimed Devon based company come to the county courtesy of Artsreach.

They have been engaging and enriching hearts of all ages with their performances since 2007. Their version of Snow White will be a visually striking Steam Punk style play called Snow White: The Return of the Little Things.

Far, far away there lies a curiously mechanical kingdom in which everything ticks but nothing laughs. It is ruled by The Queen Who Never Smiles and she is determined to control everyone and everything, even Time itself.

Snow White knows what it is like to live in such an unhappy land, and our tale begins when she must flee for her life to escape the Queen's terrible jealousy.

Seeking refuge in the mysterious Wild Wood, Snow White discovers she is not the only one who refuses to live in a world without laughter. Under the trees, little steps are being taken to bring about big changes…

Featuring stunning puppets this magical, imaginative and humorous show will tour to three Dorset venues for half term, and a special pre-show workshop is also on offer.

Suitable for ages 4+ and their families, Snow White: The Return of the Little Things comes to Winfrith (01305 853783) on Wednesday February 14 at 3.30pm, Stalbridge (01963 362355) on Thursday February 15 at 3.30pm, and Piddletrenthide (07775 902516) on Friday February 16 at 4pm.

Inspired by the 'Steam-Punk' look of the show, an accompanying workshop offers a unique chance to enter 'The Puppetorium' and create marvellously quirky, makeshift puppets from a variety of found, re-cycled and scrap materials. This workshop is for those aged 7+ and places are limited; enquire when booking. Further information and tickets for the show and workshop are available from artsreach.co.uk
