TV presenter Dara O Briain is going back to his day job as a stand-up comedian.

Dara is returning to the stage with his eagerly awaited new show, Voice of Reason, which visits Bournemouth for two nights in March.

Described as a master of audience interaction, the popular Irish comedian will be travelling to the UK armed with his supersonic wit and provocative observations with over 40 dates booked throughout the spring until June.

Extra dates have been added to meet public demand, including extra dates in Newcastle, Derry, Liverpool, and Glasgow. More 2018 dates will be added over the coming months.

A spokesman for the tour said: “This is the chance to see one of the most charismatic, intelligent, fast-talking and funny live performers working today back in his natural environment.”

Dara O Briain is on telly a lot – as host of BBC Two’s Mock The Week, Stargazing Live, Robot Wars, Dave’s Go8Bit, Apprentice You’re Fired and Live at the Apollo.

But bringing his Voice of Reason tour to Bournemouth, he insisted he was delighted to be back doing live stand-up and there’s no reason to doubt him.

For while Dara is reliable as a panel show host and entertaining poking fun at fired Apprentices, he is at his best on stage, simply making people laugh.

Earlier this year, Dara’s first children’s book Beyond The Sky: You and the Universe was released by Scholastic UK and he will be back as host of BBC Two’s Robot Wars this October.

Dara’s tour will be at Bournemouth Pavilion on Wednesday, March 7 and Thursday, March 8.
