THE fruits of artists' labours from a day of 'en plein air' painting on Portland can be seen in a free pop-up exhibition at the Hayloft Café this coming weekend.

Artwey artists at Pennsylvania Castle captured the gardens, the castle and the views in a variety of mediums.

Artist Lyn Kirland said: "The rain fell for most of the day,but didn’t put off over 18 determined artists, who set up easel, brushes and paint to create their own unique view of the gardens, architecture and vista across to Rufus Castle and beyond."

All work on show will be for sale, together with cards and prints.

Lyn said: "Unfortunately the café has now closed for the season so there will be no refreshments, but feed your soul on the creative talent of Dorset artists."

ArtWey is a Community Interest Company, supporting Weymouth, Portland and Dorchester Artists.
