MUSICIAN and multi-instrumentalist Simon Swarbrick will go back to his roots when he plays an upcoming gig at Charminster Village Hall near Dorchester.

Simon, who will perform as part of acoustic band Watkins and Swarbrick, grew up in the village and is the nephew of the late folk icon Dave Swarbrick.

Watkins and Swarbrick interprets songs from different genres. With influences from folk, country, jazz and blues, Watkins & Swarbrick play a wide variety of songs and tunes, with mellow vocals and gorgeous three-part vocal harmonies, that have been described as a 'wonderful blend.'

The band does not charge a set ticket price. Instead, the audience are asked to generously offer payment after the show if they have enjoyed the performance.
