AN INNOVATIVE exhibition is now on at a wildlife charity's nature reserve.

Kingcombe Through the Year is the exhibition in question, and is on display in the Main Barn at the Dorset Wildlife Trust's The Kingcombe Centre at Toller Porcorum near Dorchester.

The intricacies of the rich landscape are showcased through paintings, stitched textiles and original monoprints.

All the art work has been specifically made for this joint exhibition, with artists Antonia and Elizabeth inspired by walks in Kingcombe's woods and fields and along the ancient lanes.

Both Elizabeth and Antonia are established and well-known artists based in Bridport, and are pleased to present this collaborative new exhibition.

Antonia is known for her lively atmospheric paintings, from woodland streams to coastal scenes, and her work is informed by light shape and colour.

Elizabeth is a textile artist, whose art quilts are created from a palette of printed and dyed fabrics, layered and stitched to evoke the sense of place.

Both wanted to celebrate Kingcombe's unique ancient landscape in very different styles, yet with a common goal.

The exhibition is open daily from 10am until 4pm until Tuesday, October 30, and entry is free.

Antonia and Elizabeth will be at the Kingcombe centre to meet visitors on Saturday, October 20 and Tuesday, October 23 between 11am and 1pm.
