AN EXHIBITION on women's fight for equality is coming to Bridport.

Hatpins to Hashtags – On The Road to Equality will be displayed at Bridport LSI from Friday, November 16.

The exhibition, from Feminist Archive South, celebrates 100 years since women got the vote.

Running alongside Hatpins to Hashtags will be digital democracy workshops, where you can learn how to join the new wave of digital activists, and a talk by Professor Karen Hunt on Dorset Women’s Suffrage.

Archive trustee Dr Sue Tate said: “We’re excited to be coming to Bridport to celebrate the history of ever-growing gender equality and thanks to funding from the Government Equalities Office, we have a great programme to inspire thought and action around today’s issues for women.”

Everyone is welcome to the opening of the exhibition at 6.30pm on Friday November 16, when refreshments will be served. For details about the workshops and lecture, check the Hatpins to Hashtags website h2h.feministarchivesouth.org.uk or pick up a leaflet from Bridport TIC in Bucky Doo Square.
