A PAIR of award-winning musicians will play the Weymouth Sunday Concert this weekend.

Emily Sun and Jennifer Hughes will entertain the audience at Weymouth Bay Church on Sunday, November 25 at 3pm. They will play sonatas by Faure, Grieg and Schubert.

Australian violinist Emily is rapidly gaining international recognition as a rising soloist. Emily studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music; from 2011 after studying at the Royal College of Music, she graduated with Bachelor of Music and Masters of Music with First Class Honours, as well as an Artist Diploma. She has recently returned from a recital tour of Australia and New Zealand, during which she was named the 2018 ABC Australian Young Performer of the Year.

Emily has won all available prizes at the Royal College of Music and prizes in many international competitions.

Jennifer studied at Wells Cathedral School, and the Royal College of Music, where she is now duo coach for the String Department She has won many prizes for accompanying.

Jennifer has appeared in festivals across the UK and Europe as well as performing at the Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall and other prestigious venues. She has broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and recently released a disc of cello sonatas with Lionel Handy.
