CELEBRATE the festive season with Watkins & Swarbrick at the Mission Hall, Sutton Poyntz, on Saturday, December 8 from 8pm.
This popular acoustic band promise a smattering of Christmas songs in their set, played in their own particular style.
Ken, Simon, Lucy and Angela will take you on a musical journey, inspired by folk and country, blues and jazz. Expect sensitive and extraordinary playing of guitars, violin, ukelele and mandolin, plus some lovely mellow vocals and rich 3-part harmonies that have been described as a ‘wonderful blend’. You can be sure of a lovely evening with superb acoustic music, performed alongside some lively banter, a little off-beat humour and an atmosphere of relaxed informality.
CDs will be available, bring your own drinks and glasses.
There is no set ticket price; instead, you are asked to pay what you think the performance was worth at the end of the show. It is essential to reserve seats by calling the box office on 01305 837299.
