WEYMOUTH Drama Club is staging a comedy this week.

Members will be performing Immaculate by Oliver Lansley at The Warehouse Theatre in Hope Square, Weymouth.

The comedy follows the plot of a girl called Mia. Mia is young, free and single and then wakes up one morning pregnant.

The Angel Gabriel appears on the doorstep claiming parentage. Things quickly spiral into farcical confusion with no fewer than three more potential fathers claiming parentage, one of them an ex-boyfriend, one of them a boy from school that you wouldn't want to be seen dead with, and the third being the devil himself.

Drama club spokesman Carol Pitman said: "The club has been very fortunate to have had a recent intake of new members, one of whom is an exciting new director called Gemma Higgins.

"Our regular followers will see also several new faces in this new show, plus a very modern presentation. This production promises to be very funny."

*Immaculate, Thursday December 13, Friday December 14 and Saturday, December 15, all at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 each available from the Weymouth Drama Club website weymouthdramaclub.com
