FANS of the late John Peel can enjoy a unique visit down memory lane.

An ode to radio, John Peel’s Shed, will tour Dorset to venues including Winfrith, between Dorchester and Wareham,

In 2002, John Osborne won a competition on John Peel’s Radio 1 show; his prize was a box of records that took eight years to listen to. Writer and storyteller John Osborne heads to Dorset for three Artsreach performances of John Peel’s Shed, an ode to radio, those records and anyone who’s ever sought solace in the wireless.

Featuring a selection of records previously owned by the late John Peel, many of which are very rare recordings by obscure and now defunct bands, novelist and storyteller John Osborne offers up a unique opportunity for any Peel fans. Previously a sell-out at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, a version of this acclaimed show was recorded at the BBC Radio Theatre and broadcast on Radio 4, and was also chosen as Pick of the Day in The Radio Times.
