HAVE a laugh and help raise money for a Dorset charity.
The Heckle & Squelch Comedy Club is coming to the Wyke Smugglers, Wyke Regis on Saturday, April 6 at 8pm.
The five billed comedians are Sam Lake, who will be opening the show, followed by Lisa Cross, Dimitri Bakanov, Richard Lindesay and the headliner for the evening, Steve Bugeja.
Steve won the BBC New Comedy award in 2013 and has made many TV appearances including Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central. The
comedy club will also be raising money for local charity Julia’s House, with games, prizes and general silliness throughout the evening.
It will be hosted by James Robinson.
An avid comedy fan and amateur stand up comic himself, James founded Heckle & Squelch Comedy Club in 2016. Frustrated at the lack
of live comedy in the area he took matters into his own hands and has now hosted several sell out shows not only locally in Weymouth and Dorchester but as far north as Stoke.
James says: “This will be the fourth event of this kind we’ve put on at The Wyke Smugglers.
"They are always hugely popular and enjoyable shows not just for the audience but for all involved. We’ve been incredibly lucky to attract such great acts and I have no doubt this will be one of the best nights yet!”
Tickets are £10 and are available online from wegottickets.com, The Wyke Smugglers or by contacting James on 07966 631080
James added: “It’s great to be able to bring comedy to the local area, promote up and coming talent from across the UK and in doing so help raise money for local charities.”
