The school Easter holidays have arrived - and there's more than ever to keep you busy this weekend and beyond.

*BIG shows are coming to Weymouth Pavilion this weekend and into next week.

First there is an opportunity to see the English Youth Ballet perform classic ballet Coppelia with some help from some local talent.

Some 50 youngsters from the local area will dance on stage after undergoing hours of rehearsals to perfect their dance moves.

You can catch performances tonight at 7.30pm and tomorrow at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Call the box office for tickets.

Heading into next week, you can catch more talented youngsters on the stage of Weymouth Pavilion when Chitty Chitty Bang Bang hits the stage on Wednesday and continues to next Saturday.

*A COMEDY event with a difference comes to Wyke Regis, Weymouth tomorrow (Sat).

The Heckle and Squelch Comedy Club at the Wyke Smugglers in Weymouth will feature comedians Steve Bugeja, Richard Lindesay, Sam Lake, Dr Lisa Cross and Dimitri Bakanov. The fun starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 on the door.

*FANCY turning back the clock and dancing the night away?

Soul City Night takes place tomorrow (Sat) at the Colliton Club in Dorchester.

Music includes Shalamar, Fatback Band, Kool & The Gang, James Brown, Luther Vandross and many more.

Dancing starts at 8pm and continues until 1am. tickets cost £6 on the door.

*ENJOY an eclectic afternoon of music at Dorchester Corn Exchange on Sunday when the Tumlyn Brass Quintet performs at 3pm.

You'll be able to hear music by Malcolm Arnold, Thomas Tallis and Holst and Lennon/McCartney.

The quintet was formed in 2017 by Dorset- based professional musicians who are passionate about making good music. They perform a wide variety of styles and have played with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, D’Oyly Carte Opera Orchestra and Bournemouth Brass.

*WITH the beginning of the Easter holidays there are many Easter-themed events taking place in the area.

Among all the cracking fun is a secret garden Easter trail at Mapperton gardens near Beaminster, Cadbury Easter egg hunts from the Knoll Beach Discovery Centre at Studland and a Cadbury Easter egg hunt at Kingston Lacy near Wimborne. Check the venue websites for full details.
