GET ready to party like it’s 1990 again when chart stars 5ive, A1, Damage and 911 return in The Boys Are Back! at Lighthouse, Poole on Friday, March 20, next year.

Pre-sale tickets are available online from 10am today with general admission and a limited number of meet and greet tickets on sale from 10am on Wednesday, April 10.

Formed in 1997 by the management team that created The Spice Girls – Russell Brand is thought to have auditioned for the band – 5ive went on to sell more than ten million records before their split in 2001. Their UK debut single Slam Dunk (Da Funk) was followed by international hits including When the Lights Go Out, Until the Time is Through and If Ya Gettin’ Down before they scored their first number one with Keep On Movin’. Their cover of Queen’s We Will Rock You took them back to the top spot in 2000, shortly after winning Best Pop Act at the BRIT Awards. 5ive scored their third UK number with ‘Let’s Dance’ in 2001, but the pressures of fame took their toll and Sean Conlon and Scott Robinson departed leaving Ritchie Neville to continue with Abz Love and Jason ‘J’ Brown until they also broke up later that year. A reunion in 2006 was short-lived but since 5ive got back together again in 2012, Abz and J have left Sean, Scott and Ritchie to continue as a three-piece.

At the dawn of the millennium Anglo-Norwegian outfit A1 were the UK’s biggest boy band with hits including Be the First To Believe and the chart toppers Take On Me and Same Old Brand New You. Formed in 1998, they broke up in 2002 when founder member Paul Marazzi left, but the others – Ben Adams, Christian Inglebrigtsen and Mark Read – reunited in 2009 to represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest, coming second. In 2014, A1 appeared in the second series of ITV’s The Big Reunion and welcomed Paul back to the fold in 2017. The original line up is due to play its first UK show in 15 years in November.

Garage/R&B pop pioneers Damage enjoyed a string of hits between 1995 and 2001 including top ten smashes Forever, Love Guaranteed, a cover of Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight and favourite Ghetto Romance. When the band split singer Jade Jones joined CherryBlackStone before retraining as a chef in 2008, then rejoined his former bandmates – Rahsaan J Bromfield, Andrez Harriott and Noel Simpson – in 2014 for the second series of ITV’s The Big Reunion.

Having formed in 1995, 911 went on to sell more than six million albums on the back of hits including Don’t Make Me Wait, Bodyshakin’ and their only UK number one, a cover of Dr Hook’s A Little Bit More before splitting in 2000. They got back together in 2008 and again in 2013 for ITV’s first Big Reunion TV series and subsequent tour.
