YEAR Five pupils from Saint Mary's Primary School will see their own films 'premiere' at the Bridport Youth and Community Centre on Friday

April 26.

The nine and ten year olds produced unique versions of the Frankenstein story during a two day film-making workshop facilitated by

screenwriter Hester Schofield as part of the From Page To Screen film festival.

Hester says "It was a really creative couple of days as the children worked hard in small production teams covering all the roles of a real screen drama - screenwriting, directing, camera, acting, costume, design and editing.

“It will be exciting for them to see the results of all that effort on a big screen with an audience - for just £1 they can all look forward to a 'monster' double bill of these short films followed by the main feature 'Mothra Vs Godzilla'."

Family audiences can also enjoy special events at the festival screenings of Black Panther and Dumbo on Saturday April 27. From 11am there will be a free street art masterclass in front of the Arts

Centre creating a backdrop inspired by Marvel Comics before the 5pm showing of Black Panther.

The new live action version of Dumbo will be at 2pm at the Electric Palace with some free merchandise and a Q&A with Disney designer Diana

Leszcynski.
