WELL known organist, musician and author Duncan Honeybourne is giving an organ recital in All Saints’ church, Wyke Regis tomight (25) at 7pm.
Duncan will play and introduce organ music by William Byrd, John Stanley, Jean-Adam Gullain, Howells, Darke, Sumsion, Alain and Mathias and a highlight will be the world premiere of A Dorset Divertimento by Richard Francis, whose organ music has been played worldwide. This new suite concludes with A Wedding March for Wyke, inspired by All Saints’ Church.
This concert is the first of a summer series of three which will inaugurate the newly restored organ as a recital instrument, following the extensive restoration in 2017.
Tickets cost £5 including refreshments and can be bought on the door. All are welcome.
