NORTHERN Ballet's sensational performance of Victoria is set to be screened at Weymouth Cineworld for one night only.

On June 25, the big screen will come alive with a world-class ballet performance by one of the UK's most talented dance companies. The screening is organised by CinemaLive.

Delving into the life of Queen Victoria through reference to more than 100 of her personal diaries, Cathy Marston's gripping ballet reveals the many sides of the woman who gave her name to the Victorian age, told through the eyes of her youngest child, Beatrice.

Cathy will introduce the performance and will be joined by designer Steffen Aarfing during the interval, to give an insight into the creation of this critically acclaimed new production.

David Nixon, artistic director of Northern Ballet, said: "In addition to being a superb ballet production, Victoria presents a story of dramatic and historical importance. As it’s not possible to reach everyone with our live tour, I’m delighted that we will be able to offer this wonderful new production to cinema audiences throughout the country."
