YOUNG actors were praised for their professionalism following a performance on stage at a prestigious theatre.

Members of Dorchester Youth Theatre (DYT) Senior Company performed Chaos at the Theatre Royal Plymouth as part of the National Theatre Connections Festival for youth theatres.

Spokesman Carol Burgess said: "They all had an amazing day including a workshop from a professional director, supporting and watching another young company perform and of course to perform themselves in a professional theatre with the guidance of a director from the National Theatre.

"The young actors were complimented on their professionalism and enthusiasm throughout the day, and for their first class performance of Chaos, written by playwright Laura Lomas."

DYT will be on stage later in June, when their junior and intermediates will put on a double bill at the Corn Exchange - Murder Mayhem at Mayview Manor and Peggy the Pint Sized Pirate, suitable for younger audiences.
