THE Casterbridge Male Voice Choir is joining forces with a well known Cornish group – Bucca’s Four, for a concert on Poundbury.

The two vocal groups will bring together an entertaining programme of Dorset and Cornish influenced popular music at the Dorchester Community Church, Poundbury, Dorchester on Friday, June 28 at 7.30pm.

Bucca’s Four is a male quartet from Newlyn who got together in 2001 just for the joy of singing – Charles, Graham, Dave and Steve all had a desire to add to their choir experience and to help out with singing locally.

Since that time they have had the joy of performing at many concerts in Cornwall, Concarneau, their Breton twin town, and at various venues in Ireland, Wales, England and Jersey.

They have produced several CDs and enjoyed success at a number of music festivals They sing a capella and have a wide ranging repertoire.

The Casterbridge Male Voice Choir has been bringing musical pleasure to the people of Dorset (and beyond) for many years. The choir under musical director Julia McFarlane and accompanist Louise Dukes are delighted to be joining with Bucca’s Four in Concert for what should prove to be a very enjoyable and entertaining musical evening
