IT'S the season of outdoor entertainment and the much-loved Miracle Theatre are returning to Dorchester.

The company will be performing A Perfect World, a rollicking music-filled adventure, at Maumbury Rings on Friday, July 12.

The play will follow the story of a feisty young woman as she ventures into a world of undiscovered jungles, treasure maps, campfires and penknives. Leading a team of explorers, she stumbles into a bountiful paradise - but are things really as they seem?

A Perfect World will entertain audiences of all ages, who are encouraged to bring along picnics, blankets, cushions and chairs to enjoy this memorable night of theatre in the open air.

Mark Tattersall, artistic director of Dorchester Arts, said: "Miracle Theatre have been entertaining us for many years and we're delighted to have them back, doing what they do best and showing us exactly what outdoor theatre is all about."

Miracle is an award-winning theatre company which has been touring inventive and original shows since 1979. Based in Cornwall, the company is known for producing comical and thought-provoking plays suitable for anyone and everyone.

Tickets for A Perfect World, which begins at 7.30pm, are £13 full price, £11 for members of Dorchester Arts, under-18s or those on a low income or £40 for a family ticket. Tickets can be purchased from the Dorchester Arts box office or website, or from the Dorchester Corn Exchange.
