THE Dorset Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
The jubilee is to be marked by two major events, an exhibition of members' work to be held at Allendale House, Wimborne and an open day.
Fibre Facets will be run from Wednesday to Saturday, November 7-10 between 9.30am-4.30pm. Entrance is free. Many of the exhibits can be purchased, as can be the diamond-themed Christmas decorations which constitute the guild's joint project.
East Dorset District Council has made a small grant to assist with the cost of publicity and the National Lottery, through Awards for All, has made a larger grant, part of which is earmarked for exhibition expenses.
