COUNCILLORS will visit the site of a proposed development on Portland before making a decision.
An application has been submitted to Weymouth and Portland Borough Council to convert a large chalet bungalow in Montrose Close into six self-contained flats.
Residents have objected to the plan, fearing houses of multiple occupancy will be created in a quiet cul-de-sac which is home to many elderly people.
Several of the objectors have also noted the ‘foul’ behaviour of the tenants currently occupying the premises, says a report to the planning and traffic committee.
Councillors have decided they will look at the site before making a decision on November 14.
