WITH its beautiful scenes from across the county the Dorset Echo’s new book is proving a hit with Christmas shoppers.

Dorset: A Photographic Journey in an Olympic Year, captures the county from east to west and shows off some stunning images captured by our talented team of photographers and also a host of stunning pictures submitted by our readers.

There are pictures from the sailing events in Weymouth as we remember a historic sporting year, and then there are those picture postcard scenes which are timeless; the sunrise on the river Stour or the sun bursting through the conifers at Colehill, snowy scenes around the county town of Dorchester and brilliant sunrises over the Jurassic Coast.

The 176-page book is available from Dorset Echo offices and stores across the county.
