TELEVISION and radio star Chris Evans took a trip through West Dorset and Purbeck in one of his sports cars.

The BBC Radio One star was behind the wheel of his Aston V12 Vantage following his wife Natasha Shishmanian driving a vintage Aston Martin Zagato.

After stopping off in West Dorset as part of a three day driving holiday the couple headed through Swanage and across the ferry to Poole.

He took these pictures of the Zagato on Swanage seafront and waiting for the ferry at Studland and uploaded them to the Twitter social networking website.

“I say! Swanage by the sea looks bally nice today.” he tweeted.

Then with the picture at the ferry he added “Ferry for Aston please.”

After the trip he added another tweet saying he was “Just back from three days driving mini hols with Tash. Aston V12 Van, & DB4 Zag. Fab times.”

The presenter and DJ is a regular visitor to Dorset and the New Forest, visiting Monkey World and the Chewton Glen hotel during charity drives for Children In Need.

He was spotted in Swanage last summer and returned to the seafront on this visit.

Mick Storer, owner of Gee Whites seafood restaurant in Swanage, said: “It’s a surprise to see him down here but then it is a fantastic spot for a drive through.”

And Jane Cavanagh, Swanage tourist information officer, said the DJ must have come back as he enjoyed it there last year.

She said: “He came down last summer and had fish and chips and said he enjoyed it and loved it down here.

“He obviously loved it that much to come back and visit us again.”
