A ROTARIAN has been recognised after clocking up 40 years of charitable service.
Terry Hearing, from Martinstown, was honoured by the Dorchester Rotary Club for his efforts during four decades as a member.
The local historian, who has served with the Royal Marines and is a former magistrate, is the primary orgainser of the annual Clinton Grassby lecture at the Thomas Hardye School. Mr Hearing and his wife Margaret were recognised by past and present members.
He received a booklet recounting his exploits with the club over the years and Margaret received a bouquet of flowers.
