STAFF working for the ambulance trust which covers Dorset have been given the thumbs-up in an inspection.
South Western Ambulance Service (SWASFT) has welcomed the findings of an independent inspection that found praise for staff from patients and fellow healthcare professionals.
It follows an inspection by a team from the Care Quality Commission who spent four days at several SWASFT premises, including those in Dorset, as well as hospital A&E and outpatient departments receiving patients from ambulances. They carried out a wide-ranging review looking at a variety of the standards of quality and care.
Their findings acknowledge the positive perception of ambulance crews.
SWASFT chief executive Ken Wenman said: “Overall, these are very positive reports that acknowledge the superb work done on a daily basis by ambulance service staff.”
