A POUNDBURY dentist is getting behind a campaign to raise awareness of the growing threat posed by mouth cancer.
The Poundbury Dental Practice is offering free screening checks to people who do not have a dentist throughout November in support of Mouth Cancer Action Month.
The Mouth Cancer Action Month campaign aims to raise awareness of the disease and encourage people to have regular checks for signs of mouth cancer.
Practice manager Tim Warren said: “Early detection is a crucial factor to successful treatment.
“Dentists are in a unique position to detect early signs and are specially trained in what to look for.”
